Boy How Time Flies!!!

I can't believe it was in May that I last updated this. So much has happened since and I've been so busy. I'll start off by saying about one week after my last blog, a filter under my kitchen sink broke and flooded part of my main level and most of my finished basement. It was quite an ordeal and ended up doing about $17,000 worth of damage. Since then, I've been in the rebuilding mode. Right now, I have all of the sheetrock up and have been working on the mudding. The next step will be paint, carpet, baseboard and tile for the kitchen floor. Thank goodness for insurance. About 2 weeks ago, my riding lawn mower crapped out. Now I have to spend about another $1,500 for a new one. I sold my motorcycle this summer also. I have lots more furniture than I did before and even bought a pool table. I look around my house and can't believe that I own so much crap.

I've been trying to spend quite a bit of time at the lake. I took my first days off from work around Independence Day and made two trips to Tablerock Lake. Everyone that went had a blast and I can't wait to do it again. With my motorcycle money, I bought a wakeboard tower for my boat, as I hope to become a much better wakeboarder. I'll hopefully get to try it this weekend. The boat has been so much fun and I'm so glad I bought it. It does get a little expensive to run, but it's worth every penny. The time I spend on the lake is my relaxation time and my time to reflect.

I've actually been on a date this summer. It had been so long since my last date and it was with a girl that I had never met. I thought the date went pretty well and really enjoyed her company. Apparently she didn't feel the same way, because she never called me back. Oh well, I'll chaulk it up as experience and I still had fun. I'm ready for more dates and think I'm ready for the dating scene again.

My hair is starting to get pretty long. I have to say, I'm enjoying it more this go around than the first. I actually have no desire at all to cut it off any time soon. Well, I guess that's it for now. I'm going to try to update more often as I know I need this outlet to express myself.
