From the absence of a subsequent post, it's obvious the whole Cottilion thing didn't work. Not only did it not work, it turned into a disaster. Somehow I ended up getting my nice new truck very stuck in a ditch. Don't ask!!!!

Lately I haven't really been doing much other than things I like doing. I've been to the lake twice so far and have a trip planned on Memorial Day. I love it!!! I also started a new workout program. It's called P90X and is actually DVD based. It comes on 12 DVD's and includes plyometrics, Yoga, Stretching, Cardio and many other workouts. Each one is an hour of more long and very intense. It's a six day a week workout and really takes dedication. It also requires a strict diet, which is tough. It's a 90 doy program and I'm in it a full two weeks and feel much better about myself. I just love being active, and this is very intense. I can't wait to see me in 90 days. I took before pics, so I'll have to post the before and after shots once I figure out how to do it.

My love life is the same it was before. I have been talking to a girl I once spoke with a month or two ago. She is in a sorority with my future cousin-in-law. Hopefully we'll be able to go out sometime this week. Until next time.....

A Night To Remember

Well, I guess I better give an upate since last post. I am still working on my bathroom. I'm somewhat bored with it, but know I need to get it finished. Someday though, someday. My roomate that was supposed to move in decided not to. It's not a big deal as I wasn't relying on it, but I don't think she intended to tell me. I actually had to call her to ask if she was still moving in. Anyway, I started this bathroom project because she was moving in, but knew I needed to do it eventually. I'll get along just fine, but advance notice would have been nice.

I'm going to a concert at the Cattilion tonight. I'm seeing The Red Jumpsuit Appuratus, of who I don't know a lot about other than thier song on the radio. Anyway, the real reason I'm going is for a girl. My friend Amy is going and her friend Brie will be there. Apparently, Brie is single and looking for a good guy, and I'm looking for a good girl, so who knows. Anyway, I know she is cute and hopefully she isn't full of a ton of bullshit like all the other girls I date. Wish me luck!!!

A New Beginning?

Lately I've been making some changes in my life. First, and probably the biggest, I bought a new (to me) truck. This thing is way nicer than I ever thought I might have, but I love it!!! It just makes me feel good. I sold and traded in two cars to get it. The second change is that I'm going to have a roommate in about 2 weeks. I never thought I would have one unless it was someone I knew I could trust, and I know I can trust her. This leads to the third change, I am remodeling one of my bathrooms. It will be the one my roommate will use and was pretty much the last bathroom that needed updating. I'm at the painting stage right now, so not too much further.

My love life is pretty much nonexistant. I've been on a few more dates, but nothing ever seems to pan out. I'm starting to wonder why I keep trying. I know the reward is worth the wait, but as I've always said, I'm impatient. It just seems like the girls I go out with are just too independent and too concerned about themselves. I'm not saying independence is a bad thing, but too much just ruins a relationship. I'm starting to think I've gotten too old to meet a good girl these days. I feel like I'm finally ready, but wonder if I'm past my prime. The selection just gets thinner and thinner. I'm just tired of investing time into something that will most likely go nowhere. I guess I'm just warn out.

When the Tides Turn

Well, as you know in my last post, things were going very well for me. As life can do sometimes, it took a total dump on me. The girl that I was dating just quit talking to me for no apparent reason. She wouldn't return calls, texts or emails. I finally sent her an email saying that I didn't care if she didn't want to date me, but would expect the curtesy of her at least telling me. Wouldn't you know it, no response. WHATEVER!!!!!

A few days later I had a training class to learn AutoCAD for work. My instructor was extremely beautiful and single, so I asked her out. She said yes, but we weren't going to be able to go out till I was back from my cruise. Well I went on my cruise, came back, and found out she met someone else while I was gone and is dating him. What kind of luck is this? At least she was muture enough to tell me. I told her my offer was open ended and she responded that if this guy didn't work out, she would definitly call me. I'm not gonna hold my breath.

On top of all of this, the day before we set out to drive to Galveston, I got into a wreck in my city truck. It was a very minor one, but embarrassing none the less. Now I have to go to the accident review board.

On a brighter note, the cruise was awesome!!! Jamaica was a shit hole, but the sandals resort was nice. Grand Caymon was gorgeous and I'm ready to move there. Cozumel was pretty much what you would expect for mexico. It was still pretty neat though. The ship was incredible and huge. There was always something to do and there is nothing like a sunset in the middle of the ocean. The only downer, was I was single on this adventure. It was a little lonely, especially on Valentine's Day. The trip was an experience I would love to have shared with a girl.

Life can seem so unfair sometimes, yet so awesome other times. I'm still thankful that I'm healthy and I have a place of my own. I'm still thankful for my wonderful family, friends and job. Things could always be worse. It's so hard to have the patience to wait for that right person to come along. I know it will be worth it in the end. At least I know for sure in my heart that I'm ready to meet that girl. I've had plenty of alone time, now I'm ready to share my time with someone else.
